We welcome you to the 5th Annual Running For The Wells 10k/6k presented by Injinji Performance Toe Socks with support from the Operation Jack Foundation on Saturday, September 7, 2013 at Sports Basement (601 Old Mason St., San Francisco, CA) in the beautiful San Francisco Presidio in San Francisco, CA at 9:00 am.  All fees and donations collected as part of this run go towards building water wells in Uganda with World Harvest Mission, a registered 501 (3)c.  Prior to the run at 8:30 am, our event features guest speaker William Kasiyre of World Harvest Mission to share about the water well projects in Uganda you're supporting through this run as well as guest race starter San Francisco Giants pitcher Jeremy Affeldt.

The entry fee for the run is $40 through through 7/31, $45 through 9/5 and $50 on race day if available.  Youth under 18 can run for $35.  Total runners is capped at 250 people, so be sure to register early!  The fee includes a pair of Injinji toesocks provided by Injinji for all runners, a free digital finish photo (available online) and continental breakfast with us

Bring along your non-runner friends and family, who for a small fee of $10, can enjoy breakfast as well.  All participants and volunteers will also be able to shop at Sports Basement with our special race discount with Sports Basement donating 10% of your purchases to support the Uganda Water Well projects.

There is a raffle for all participants and volunteers for all sorts of cool sponsor prizes including Giants tickets, personal training, Brooks shoes and apparel, RoadID certificates and an Injinji prize pack.  There will be the official synthetic short sleeve race logo shirts for sale and Injinji will have additional items for sale including their compression toesocks.  Again, ALL proceeds from these sales will benefit the well building projects.

So come and enjoy one of the crown jewels of San Francisco Bay Area parks all while helping to provide clean water to the people of Uganda!  Click on the General Info and Registration link to the left for all the details and to register now!  All runners, grubbers (food only) and volunteers need to register.

A special thanks to all of our sponsors and volunteers for their support and generosity.  I look forward to being out there with you in San Francisco, CA on Saturday, September 7, 2013 starting at 8:30 am with the run beginning at 9 am.  On-Site Check-In and Registration (if still available) opens at 7:30 am.

See you all there,
